Kishore Kumar Jalania is an IT professional from Udaipur. His weight had been climbing slowly since 2011, in the way that weight does when nothing dramatic is happening and each year looks much like the last.
His investigations before joining were clear enough. Blood sugar sitting at borderline. Cholesterol high. Fatty liver.
The explanation everyone accepts
What he told himself was the thing most people over forty tell themselves. He had simply reached that age.
Age was passing, certainly. What he noticed alongside it was less easy to blame on birthdays. As the weight increased, so did his irritability, and so did a whole set of small problems that had not been there before.
This is the belief Kayapalat argues with most often. Somewhere around forty, people accept that increasing weight and declining health are simply what happens next, and they stop treating it as something that can be changed.
Four kilos in the first month
The first month produced four kilos. When asked what made the difference this time compared to everything he had tried before, his answer pointed at structure rather than effort.
The daily weigh-in inside the Body Transformation Marathon became a habit he genuinely enjoyed. Every morning starts with checking your own weight, and then you can see how everyone else in your team is doing. Tracking stopped being a source of anxiety and became something closer to a shared game.
17 kg, 25 inches, six months
He reached his ideal body weight six months after starting, having lost seventeen kilos and twenty-five inches.
The markers that had worried his doctor were the part he cared about more than the number. His experience with his cholesterol, his sugar reading and his liver is his own, and any decision about medication belongs with a doctor. What he will say plainly is that the assumption he started with, that this was simply his age arriving, turned out to be wrong.
He puts it the way the community does. We are born at our ideal body weight, and it can be reclaimed with the right way of living.
